FAQ

style & Philosophy

In my art I am drawn to contrasting light to bring out the depth and emotion of human connection. My focus in editing isn't to make everything look perfect, but to give you images that feel raw and authentic. I want to give you images that allow you to feel & take you right back to that time.

my client

My clients are passionate about their loved ones and are unashamed of showing it- however that may look like. They are unafraid of trying something new things outside of the traditional rigid, smile-at-the-camera poses. They are willing to let go and be present in the moment.

approach to sessions

I am a lifestyle photographer, which means I am in the spectrum between a classic portraiture photographer and documentary photographer. I don't bring any props or studio lights. I enjoy using what's natural to the environment. As far as "posing" goes, I will guide you in flattering light and provide prompts or games that will elicit natural and honest responses with one another. I also take the time to try to get to know your family beforehand, so the session can feel natural.

what to wear

This is something I believe is worth taking the extra time for beforehand with my clients. Choice of clothing can actually make or break it. I want your images to look timeless. I want your eyes to be drawn to you and your loved ones in your images and not particularly on your clothing. Wearing earthy, muted, or neutral colors without logos or writing is a good place to start. You can't go wrong with creating a palette of a few of those tones because they all look good next to each other. Even better, start with momma. Let her pick something she feels confident and beautiful in, and style the rest of the family from there.
